ALANI the grey

ALANI the grey was launched in 2012 from Korea by founder and designer, Jae Hwan Kim two years after the launch of Menswear collection.

Since launching, the collection quickly grew into a global fashion label with retail stores around the world including US, Asia and Middle East, and has a flagship store in Korea.

Having graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins Academy, Jae soon gained experience in the ateliers of globally known fashion designers such as Paul Smith and Ozwald Boateng, and by tailoring costumes for British-American films.

Jae’s philosophy of ‘less is more’ is drawn from the 1970’s German Bauhaus movement. The collections are defined by Jae Hwan Kim’s remarkable signature tailoring techniques and patterns for making modern silhouettes containing attentions to feminine details and strong focus on the perfect fit.

The brand was nominated for International Wool Mark Prize – East Asia region in 2013.

BUNZABURO was founded in 1915 by Bunzaburo Katayama, first generation owner, in Kyoto, Japan.

With 17 years of experience as a pattern maker at globally known designer label, Chiko Hashimoto dropped her debut collection for Fall Winter 2016 focusing on knitwear using the finest materials and of quality craftsmanship. Focusing primarily on knitwear, she is committed to supporting responsible manufacturing via traditions and low-impact production.

MAUD HELINE

Maud Heline moved to the US in 2012 after having worked for years in the fashion industry, for ISABEL MARANT and BALMAIN in Paris and more recently for MAIYET in New York.

She studied design at l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and at the Academy of Art in San Francisco.

It is when she became a mother that she started designing her own shirts that soon after were distributed by Barneys New York and Colette in Paris. 

Her garments express her appreciation of fine craftsmanship, her attention to detail, and her love for pure and simple lines with always a feminine touch.

She is revisiting classic poplin shirts with a modern shape using the finest Italian poplin and graphic trims from Switzerland. Her entire collections is produced in New York and designed in her Brooklyn based studio. Her first entirely white poplin collection was inspired by origami artist, Jun Mitani.

MIHARAYASUHIRO

Yasuhiro Mihara originally started shoe collection in 1996. He later expanded his business and added luxury Menswear and Womenswear. Long-term collaboration with Puma in 2000 was a huge success and following year Yasuhiro launched Puma's bestselling Black Label.

Yasuhiro recently introduced Womenswear pre collection line for a broader market.

RHIÉ

RHIÉ was established in 2011 by Rie Yamagata. Begun as a knitwear capsule, the collection quickly evolved to fully encompass the breadth of a modern wardrobe for everyday life. In designing RHIÉ, Yamagata distills an image of an intelligent, freshly refined woman, with emphasis on enhancing the innate nature of materials used. Hallmarks of the collection include subtle details, tailoring and unique fabrics, bold and minimal. RHIÉ is a brand that speaks in a language of precision while having an element of ease.

Rie Yamagata was born in Los Angeles to an artist father and a mother whose family was in the textile industry. Her design career began with her education at New York's Parsons School of Design. She earned a B.A. in womenswear at Tsumori Chisato in Tokyo and Phillip Lim in New York.

RHIÉ is headquatered in the historic West Village in New York and is available at same of the best retailers and specialty boutiques in the United States, Asia, Europe and Middle East.

tamaki niime

Designer Tamaki Niime moved to Nishiwaki City in Hyogo, Japan, an area known for its historic Banshu-Ori which started back in 1792.
She uses Banshu style weave techniques to produce the textiles she sees in her imagination.

To ensure the fidelity of the textiles produced, from harvesting organic cotton to dying, weaving and sewing are all done in house. Originality and uniqueness are the spirit of tamaki niime's fabrics.

These feathery, colorfully expressive shawls bring delight to everyone regardless of age or gender.
